In systems with hot gases or where controlled gas mixtures are produced, regulation valves must be available, with their appropriate control systems.
The valves used are of the butterfly or clapper type, and gate valves; in both cases, they are generally operated by an electro-pneumatic actuator. They can be supplied in very different materials according to needs.
They can be regulated from readings of temperature, pressure or pressure difference, (“loops”), or other parameters. They can work in variable positions or in all-or-nothing format, depending on applications.
In draft regulation systems at the fan mouth, it was common to use servo-controlled radial vane valves; these have recently been replaced by variable frequency drives.
There are also instant automatic closing gate valves, used to provide complete sealing in explosive atmospheres.
GORCO can design and supply all types of valves for gases in different applications, complete with their actuators and all measurement and control devices to control their operation: for example, thermocouples, pressure switches, analysers and level indicators.
