Bag Filters
A bag filter is a collector or separator of solid particles (dust) within a gaseous stream. The gas is forced through a textile medium, sleeves or bags, which retain the particles. This textile must be periodically cleaned to remove the dust and empty it for later reuse or disposal.
Motor Fans
The motor fan is the heart of a dust collection system, and its selection is as important or more important than that of the filter itself.
FD Gas Coolers
These are forced draft, indirect contact gas coolers.
The hot, contaminated air passes through the interior of tube bundles surrounded on the exterior by a forced current of ambient air. The coolers supplied by GORCO work in a cross flow system.
Water Cooling Towers
Depending on the temperature of a gas stream and the fabric selected for purification, it may be necessary to cool these gases before entering the bag filter.
Cyclone Separators
Cyclone separators are the oldest dust collection or separation devices. They are currently used for problems with relatively coarse dust, or as a pre-separation before a more effective one, such as a bag filter. Cyclone separators can sometimes also be used as spark arrestors in front of a bag filter.
Spark Arrestors
In some kiln dust collection applications, incandescent particles, “sparks”, fly out of the kiln; generally caused by a combustion defect. If they reach the bag filter, they can burn a hole in the bag, with the consequent sudden loss of filtration efficiency, and the immediate need to stop the equipment to search for the hole(s).
Engineering
One of the main areas in which GORCO has extensive experience is the design and execution of dust collection equipment and complete dedusting installations. It has a high technical capacity to develop the engineering for any project related to dedusting and gas purification. Among our skills, is that of providing equipment of the right size, by calculating the required dedusting volumes in environmental suction; and developing a basic, preliminary engineering project for the customer to obtain the initial data necessary for equipment estimate; or more detailed engineering, especially the option of supplying major equipment and preparing construction plans for simpler components (e.g. structures, accesses or pipes), for the customer to have manufactured locally.
Suction Hoods. Dirty air ducts.
Many dedusting and purification systems starts for the designer of the installation in a defined duct or even in the outlet flange of the main equipment (outlet of a boiler, kiln, etc.). But not always is in this way, sometimes the dirty gases are “dispersed”.
Dust Discharge Components under Hoppers and Mechanical Material Transport Systems.
Most bag filters have a hopper beneath them for dust collected from each successive blast of compressed cleaning air to clean a row of bag filters.
Gas Neutralisation And Cleaning
Acid gas purification by dry method: HCL, HF and SO2 control
The flue gas desulfuration (FGD) processes responsible for processing acidic compounds are generally based on absorption by alkaline substances of lime.
Dry scrubbing is the alternative to wet scrubbing for the control of acidic gases such as SO2, HCl and HF, which are mainly found in the combustion gases of the boilers of thermoelectric power plants and kilns.
Complete Storage Silos
GORCO can supply complete metal silos for material storage, with all necessary components.
Explosive Atmospheres And ATEX Directive
GORCO can collaborate with the customer in studying problems, as well as designing and supplying equipment for explosive atmospheres, both new facilities and improvement and modification of existing ones.
This way, the final systems will always be in accordance with the ATEX directive.
Pneumatic Conveying
Pneumatic conveying is understood to mean the movement of solid bulk particles suspended in a gaseous medium, generally air. A simple example of pneumatic conveying by suction or vacuum is a domestic vacuum cleaner: the air is sucked from the ground through the tube to the collection bag, bring the dust particles with it in the air stream.
Centralized High Vacuum Cleaning Installations
GORCO designs and provides centralized suction facilities for cement, sugar, chemical plants and any other type of industry.
High vacuum cleaning installation is a vacuum pneumatic conveying system whose purpose is to promote the most comfortable cleaning of floors or warehouses with dust deposits produced by spills, diffuse emissions and machine movements, etc.
Dust-Free Discharge From Trucks
GORCO has extensive experience in supplying dust free loading of hoppers from truck or loading shovels.
Enclosure sizing with integrated filter. Many industrial applications.
Gas Regulation Valves, High Temperature Safety
In systems with hot gases or where controlled gas mixtures are produced, regulation valves must be available, with their appropriate control systems.
Bypass Systems
Some facilities may need gases not to pass through the filter at certain times, due to foreseeable or unforeseeable exceptional circumstances; for example, high or low temperatures, unstable starting conditions and particularly aggressive gases.
Gas Heating Circuits
Some facilities may not be able to prevent dusty gases from impacting the cold interior walls of a filter, which may become contaminated as a result. Ideally, in a start-up, clean gases heat up the filter, so that when gas with material arrives, the temperature is out of the danger zone.
Pressure / Depression Safety Valves
Valves that are generally placed in the upper part of silos or hoppers may be put under pressure or vacuum unexpectedly, which can cause serious structural damage; for example, due to bulging, positive pressure, inward deformation or folding due to vacuum. It may even lead to catastrophic damage.
Regulation And Control: In-Line Instrumentation
In a complete filtration system, different regulation and control devices must be available. GORCO can offer all the necessary devices for each case.
Heating Hoppers
The heating of hoppers is a common way to prevent condensation; for example, in cases of very different internal and external temperatures; shutdowns of a few hours in the flow of gases; and when there is a risk of sticking and jamming.
Thermal Insulation
Thermal insulation of equipment, filters, pipes and fans, for example, is done when the process conditions require it.
Associated Metalwork
All the facilities for dedusting, gas purification and mechanical and pneumatic transport can be offered complete with all the metalwork attached to the main equipment.
Shipping
We can deliver merchandise according to any of the Incoterms 2020: from EXWORKS delivery to maritime packaging in wooden boxes with the required regulations and DDP delivery anywhere in the world.
Mechanical and electrical assembly
Assembly of new equipment supplied, including the disassembly of old existing facilities, lifting and auxiliary resources and scrapping – in short, everything necessary for the new equipment to be properly assembled – with guarantees and commissioning is supplied. We have our own works management personnel and specialist suppliers in our teams with extensive experience of optimising assembly time with knowledge about all the systems required. Assembly by GORCO helps the customer a lot, especially when not familiar with the type of equipment in detail, resulting in it taking may longer to assemble, which in the end is more expensive.
We can also install electrical assemblies according to customer requirements.
Another possible option is the supervision of the assembly, so that GORCO personnel are moved to the work permanently, or for periods established in the project, to direct the customer’s assembly personnel.
Start-up management and Commissioning
GORCO technicians, together with the future plant operators learning at this time, carry out the commissioning of the installation. Depending on the process, this can first be before operation and then after operation. During the commissioning period, the entire installation is checked to be properly assembled and ready to operate. On occasions, specialist technicians from different disciplines or sub-suppliers may also be required to complete the satisfactory start-up of the installation.
Training
During start-up, training courses for personnel in the use of the new plant can be carried out. We also carry out generic bag filter courses, including their preventive and corrective maintenance, with recycling of maintenance personnel to adapt them to new technologies.
Maintenance
Maintenance management of filtering facilities, either proprietary or of third parties, via customised maintenance work plans, periods and execution by our personnel; so the customer has peace of mind about everything in relation to the facilities contracted for supervision, with the guarantee that equipment maintenance is being done by a company specialising in it, aware of all its needs.
Spare Parts
Guaranteed supply of the necessary spare parts for our filters, so they operate at all times as new.
