Thermal insulation of equipment, filters, pipes and fans, for example, is done when the process conditions require it.
This is either because the component has some kind of electrical tracing to ensure this heat is not lost and, as the component works at a very high temperature, the surface must be protected to avoid burns.
or
Because the risk of a cold spot on the steel can lead to condensation or process problems.
The insulation consists of a mineral wool coating of a corresponding thickness, according to needs (normally 80 to 150 mm), and an external coating of aluminium or galvanised or stainless steel.
